Karcher K2 Compact or Nilfisk C110 Compact Pressure Washer?
When many home owners are researching pressure washers they invariably end up comparing the Karcher K2 Compact to the Nilfisk C110 PC Extra Compact Pressure Washer. Therefore we have written this quick guide to give you an easy to follow comparison.
Which Is More Powerful
First though it is important to understand the two measurements that equate to a pressure washers total power. These measurements are pressure measured in bars and the water flow which is the rate of water the unit allows, in litres, over the course of an hour.
By multiplying both numbers together you can calculate the total power of the pressure washer with the higher number being more powerful.
Both the Karcher K2 and the Nilfisk C110 (as the name implies) operate at a pressure of 110 bars however there is a difference in water flow. The Karcher K2 Compact allows 360 litres per hour whilst the Nilfisk allows athe higher figure of 440 litres per hour.
Therefore the Nilfisk C110 Compact is slightly more powerful than the Karcher K2 Compact.

Differences In The Pump
Another noticeable difference occurs in the pump.
The Karcher K2 Compact pump is made from plastic. It is worth noting that the pump head can crack more easily when its made from plastic as it’s a lighter material than aluminium from which the Nilfisk pumps are made. Plastic pumps therefore have a shorter life however the drawback of aluminium pumps is that over time they will rust of they are not anodised. Nilfisk usually anodise their pumps.
Other Differences
The other differences between the two units are slight with the Karcher K2 high pressure hose being 4 metres in length and the Nilfisk hose being 5 metres in length. Also there are slight differences in weight and the dimensions of each pressure washer.

Uses
Both brands of pressure washers are ideal for small and medium domestic spraying fun. For harder tasks such as for the removal of tough stains or graffiti you will need to get a more powerful washer.
Both the Karcher K2 and the Nilfisk C110 are ideal for washing cars, foot and garden paths, small to medium driveways and patios as well as garden furniture etc.
In Conclusion
It seems, from the figures above, that the Nilfisk C110 PC Xtra Compact Pressure Washer is a superior pressure washer than the Karcher K2 Compact Home Pressure Washer.
Personally I think that Karcher sells more K2 Compact Home Pressure Washers due to the Karcher brand name being better known. An example of this is when I walk into my local hardware store and see a row of Karcher’s lined up with only a few Nilfisk or Bosch units being on display.
Both units have the same RRP however with a larger water flow and aluminium pumps as well as a longer high pressure hose the Nilfisk C110 PC Xtra Compact Pressure Washer gets my vote.
